Snow Supplies Running Low

Mid-Missouri’s second winter storm is fast approaching and stores are running out of items needed to combat the weather. On Monday, shoppers hunted for shovels and ice melt, but many stores were out of the items. Several stores had other winter essentials like gloves, hand warmers and scrapers for your car window. After calling local Walmarts, Hyvee and Gerbes stores, the only place left with shovels and ice salt was ACE Hardware off Worley Drive in Columbia.Customers flooded into the store taking the shovels off the shelves just as fast the the store was putting new shovels out.After last Thursday’s storm, people in Mid-Missouri are better preparing themselves against the predicted snow. City officials encourage everyone to stay off the roads and stay home tomorrow.
