Mizzou women’s basketball blows big lead in WNIT opener

Fort Worth, Tex.

The Mizzou women's basketball team blew a 20-point second half lead in the opening round of the WNIT. The Tigers lost to Fresno State 78-75 on Friday afternoon.

The Bulldogs finished the game on a 9-0 run. They outscored the Tigers 26-13 in the fourth quarter.

MU standout Aijha Blackwell finished with a team-high 16 points and eight rebounds. Fellow sophomore Hayley Frank did not make the trip to Texas due to COVID-19 concerns.

The Tigers will continue WNIT play in the consolation bracket. MU will take on Arizona State on Saturday at 11 a.m.
