1/27: Record Warmth Mon & Tue

A warm front moving north of Mid-Missouri Sunday night will usher in record-breaking temperatures for Monday and Tuesday. Highs on Monday will climb to near 70 degrees, which would break the old record at Columbia Regional Airport of 67, set in 2002. On Tuesday, highs should still climb into the mid 60s before a cold front moves through the region. The record on Tuesday is 64, set in 2008.Monday will be mainly dry, but there could be a few spotty light rain showers through the day as well as a few breaks in the clouds. The cold front on Tuesday will bring widespread showers and strong-to-severe storms.
