Oklahoma to play without second-leading scorer due to COVID-19

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind (KMIZ)

The Oklahoma men's basketball team announced that sophomore guard De'Vion Harmon will not play for the first two rounds of the tournament due to a positive case of COVID-19.

Sooner head coach Lon Kruger said the team got the results on Monday, however, only found out for sure on Tuesday, after a second round of tests.

Kruger added that no other members of the team tested positive or got caught up in contact tracing. At this point the program has no indication on where or when Harmon could have come down with the virus.

Harmon averaged about 12 points per game for the Sooners this season, as well as averaging 47 percent from the field.
