Two people seriously injured in motorcycle crash Saturday

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Two people were seriously injured in a motorcycle crash in Cooper County Saturday night.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened at around 7:10 p.m. on Missouri Route 5 just south of Brumback Road.

A 68-year-old Jefferson City man was driving a 63-year-old Jefferson City woman southbound on a 2021 Harley-Davidson Road Glide Limited when he lost control of the motorcycle. The man and woman were thrown off the motorcycle when it fell on its side during the crash.

Both passengers were taken to University Hospital for treatment. They were not wearing helmets and the bike was totaled.
