Camden County murder suspect faces other criminal charges after wreck

SUNRISE BEACH, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Camden County murder suspect is facing other charges after a Feb. 12 crash.

According to court documents, Timothy Evans was allegedly involved in a head-on crash with an RV on Hwy 5 north of Pier 31 road.

When police arrived on scene, they found an RV had crashed into a rock bluff and a Dodge Caravan that was empty.

Police soon found a phone in the Dodge and answered it. The caller asked for Evans before the phone died.

Police report the investigation revealed the the driver of the RV failed to negotiate the turn and hit the Caravan head on.

Evans is charged with operating a vehilce on a highway without a valid license and leaving the scene of an accident.

Evans is also charged in a with second-degree murder and other crimes related to the death of a man whose body was found this week.

Timothy C. Evans, 31, is also charged drug delivery and tampering in connection with the death of Dennis Born, 63.

Camden County Sheriff's Office investigators claim Born died after Evans injected him with methamphetamine and fentanyl.
