Mizzou basketball is back in the big dance

INDIANAPOLIS (KMIZ)

The Mizzou men's basketball team is back in the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2018.

The Tigers are a No. 9 seed and will play No. 8 Oklahoma in the opening round on Saturday at 6:25 p.m. The game will be played at Lucas Oil Stadium - the home of the Colts. Mizzou is in the West region.

Mizzou last played Oklahoma in last year's Hall of Fame Classic. The Tigers lost 77-66 at the Sprint Center in Kansas City.

Mizzou is searching for its first NCAA Tournament win since 2010.

The Tigers finished the regular season 15-8 overall and 8-8 in the SEC. Mizzou went 1-1 at the SEC Tournament in Nashville, Tenn. The Tigers beat Georgia on Thursday, but they lost to Arkansas the following night in the SEC Tournament quarterfinals.
