Crash reconstruction could close Columbia road

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Columbia Police Department reconstructed a deadly crash Wednesday night.

Several police officers were at College Avenue near Locust Street in order to conduct a model of Friday's deadly pedestrian crash.

Boone County Joint Communications sent a notification Wednesday night that the road would be closed for several hours, but police said they would try to limit the road closure to as little time as possible, if at all.

ABC 17 News previously reported Logan M. Warnecke, 21, of Columbia was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries where he later died.

According to a media release, Kathrine E Madigan, 21, was driving north on College Avenue when she struck Warnecke on Friday night.
