One man dies after pedestrian crash on College Avenue

South College Avenue is closed between Broadway and Locust Street after a pedestrian crash Friday.

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A 21-year-old man died Friday night after he was struck by a vehicle on College Avenue.

Logan M. Warnecke of Columbia was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries where he after died.

According to a media release, Kathrine E Madigan, 21, was driving north on College Avenue when she struck Warnecke.

Warnecke was crossing the street from west to east.

Police do not believe drugs or alcohol played a roll in the crash.

The investigation is still ongoing.
