Hy-Vee coronavirus vaccinations get started
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Hy-Vee's in Missouri, started giving coronavirus vaccinations out on Monday afternoon for those eligible under the state's current phase. According to the Director of Public Relations for Hy-Vee, Christina Gayman, most stores received shipment Monday and immediately starting contacting residents to give out doses.
As of 11 a.m. this morning, Columbia and Jefferson City reservations had been booked up. Both Osage Beach locations had appointments available for as early as this afternoon.
As of 5 p.m. appointments for Osage Beach locations were still available for as soon as tomorrow.

Appointments are available in 15 minute time slots starting at 7:30 a.m. and wrapping up at 6:30 p.m. on weekdays.
On Saturday, hours are shortened to 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

A Hy-Vee spokesperson says the grocery store chain isn't sharing specific numbers of vaccine doses available because they could fluctuate week to week based on supply.
On Hy-Vee's website, it states local Hy-Vee Pharmacies do not have access to schedule appointments that are not available online and people should only schedule directly through the website.
According to the Missouri Vaccination Dashboard, 1,046,575 doses of the coronavirus vaccine have been given out to residents. 11.5% of the population have received at least one dose of the vaccine and 5.5% of the population have received both doses.
