Mizzou women’s basketball beats Florida on senior day

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Mizzou women's basketball team dominated Florida on Sunday afternoon. The Tigers beat the Gators 96-80 on senior day.

MU honored its two seniors Shug Dickson and Shannon Dufficy before the game. Dickson finished with a season-high 20 points, and Dufficy had a season-high 19 points.

Aijha Blackwell returned to action after missing one game with a foot injury. She scored 21 points and brought down 14 rebounds. Fellow sophomore standout Hayley Frank scored a team-high 26 points. She was 6/8 from three-point range.

The Tigers were 18/28 from behind the arc on Sunday. That tied a program record for most three-pointers in a single game.

Mizzou played without its starting center LaDazhia Williams due to a foot injury. Head coach Robin Pingeton said she got hurt during practice this past week, and she expects her to be back in the next few days.
