COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Columbia police say one person was arrested linked to a late Monday night robbery call on the Business Loop.

According to online dispatch records, officers were called to the 2000 block of W. Business Loop 70 for the alleged robbery at 11:20 p.m. Police department spokeswoman Brittany Hilderbrand said 48-year-old Jason Cross was arrested in connection with it.

Even though the call was reported as a robbery, police say nothing was taken from the victim.

A victim told police that his vehicle broke down in the area and started walking down the Business Loop. The victim said three people, including Cross, were also in the area and attacked him.

Cross was later arrested on an outstanding municipal warrant. According to Boone County Jail records, he has since bonded out of custody.
