No. 18 Mizzou hoops hangs on to beat No. 10 Alabama at home

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The No. 18 Mizzou basketball team did just enough to beat No. 10 Alabama on Saturday afternoon. The Tigers led by 20 points with 6:13 to go, but ultimately beat the Crimson Tide 68-65.

Alabama finished the game on a 21-4 run, but MU was still able to pull out the upset victory. It's the Tigers third win over a Top-10 team this season. Mizzou is now 9-1 in games decided by 10 points or less.

Dru Smith led the Tigers with 16 points and eight rebounds. Kobe Brown had 13 points and nine rebounds. Mark Smith finished with 12 points.

Mizzou has now won six of its last seven games as the Tigers improve to 13-3 overall and 6-3 in the SEC. Up next - MU will play at Ole Miss on Wednesday at 8 p.m.
