Columbia police arrest a suspect in the Friday morning shooting in northeast Columbia

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Columbia police arrested Anthony D. Jones, 44, of Columbia, for allegedly shooting a man in the 3500 block of Greeley Drive on Friday.

Columbia police responded to a report of shots fired at 1:30 a.m. and when officers arrived they found a 29-year-old man with life-threatening injuries from the shooting.

Jones was arrested on suspicion of assault, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon, according to online jail records.

Jones is in the Boone County Jail with no bond currently set.
