Former Ashland police chief now working at Missouri Capitol
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)
The former police chief of Ashland has taken a job with the Missouri Capitol Police.
A tweet from the police department said Lyn Woolford took his oath of office Thursday morning.
Woolford was a longtime police chief in Ashland before he was removed from office and suspended in February by the city's former mayor.
Woolford's contract with Ashland expired in April.
The Ashland Board of Aldermen appointed Gabe Edwards as the new police chief in June.
