Jefferson City shooting leaves vehicle damaged; no arrests made

Jefferson City police responded to a shooting on Monroe Street that left a vehicle damaged. Officers say no one was arrested.

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Jefferson City police say multiple shots were fired but no one was arrested after a shooting at the Heritage Apartments Tuesday night.

Officers blocked off Monroe Street for the shooting investigation.

Police department spokesman Lt. David Williams said in a statement three people were detained for questioning but they were released after further investigation.

Officers at the scene said multiple shell casings were found and that no one was hurt.

Lincoln University police also responded to the shooting.

It's unclear what caused the incident.
