Jefferson City Police investigate shots fired call near Heritage Apartments

Jefferson City police responded to a shooting on Monroe Street that left a vehicle damaged. Officers say no one was arrested.

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Jefferson City Police continue to investigate a report of shots fired on the 800 block of Monroe Street.

An officer spoke with ABC 17 News crews on scene and said there was evidence of shots fired that damaged cars and evidence of shell casings.

ABC 17 News crews on scene reported seeing law enforcement block off several streets in the area while looking for evidence.

Police report three people were detained and being questioned by detectives.

Lincoln University Police were called in to help with the situation.

Officials say no one was injured.
