JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Cole County probable cause statement sheds new light on last Wednesday's shooting that sent four people to the hospital with gunshot wounds.

According to court documents, some of the victims were targeted by the shooters and some were innocent bystanders.

During the investigation into the shooting, police found .40, 10mm and .223 caliber spent shell casings at the scene.

Victims told police who the suspects were and were able to identify one suspect as Lincoln University student De'Angelo Hawley Jr.

According to court documents, Hawley is charged with four counts of first-degree assault, armed criminal action and aiding or abetting a person discharging or shooting a firearm at/from a motor vehicle.

Two of the four students hurt in the shooting have critical injuries, Lincoln Police Chief Gary Hill said last Friday.
