Police respond to Sunday night shooting in south Columbia

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Columbia police officers responded to a shooting in the southern part of the city Sunday night.

Columbia Police Department public information officer Jeff Pitts said in an email police were called to the 800 block of Ames Drive at 9:40 p.m. on a report of shots fired.

Officers said several shell casings were found in the area but that no people were hurt and no property was damaged.

The email did not include if any arrests were made.
