Snow flying across mid-Missouri

THIS AFTERNOON: Snow has broken out for a large chunk of the viewing area. Rain will mix in at times, especially near Ashland and points to the south. Jeff City/Near HWY 54 and will likely stay as rain with a few flakes mixed in. Take it slow for the evening commute. Temperatures remain in the 30s. TONIGHT: Rain/snow will taper off this evening. Any leftover moisture will need to be monitored on exposed road surfaces with lows falling near 30.

EXTENDED: Rain chances don’t completely leave the area Tuesday. We have a chance to pick up some more showers south of I-70 during the day with highs in the low 40’s. We’re tracking even warmer temperatures on Wednesday, with highs in the 50’s. Another round of rain will move in late Wednesday night and stay through Thursday, with a few rumbles of thunder possible. It will settle down Friday into Saturday with highs back in the 50’s and sunshine returning.
