Central Columbia shooting investigation leads to no arrests

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Columbia Police Department said Friday morning a shooting in the central part of the city has produced no arrests.

Officers were called to the intersection of Trinity Place and Pendleton Street Thursday afternoon for reports of a shooting.

Police said several shell casings were found in the 400 block of Trinity Place.

Witnesses told officers a white vehicle was seen driving away from the area and that two people were also seen running away.

According to the release, the vehicle was found in Douglass Park with bullet holes.

Witnesses alleged one of the people ran north and the other ran south from the location of the shooting.
