Versailles man seriously hurt in early morning DWI crash

MORGAN COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

The highway patrol said a Versailles man was seriously hurt in a DWI crash early Monday morning.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol's crash report, Rayburn P. Webb, 55, was involved in a single-vehicle wreck near the intersection of Highway 5 and Route TT around 12:25 a.m.

Troopers said Webb was driving southbound on the highway when his passenger car drove off the right side of the road.

According to the report, Webb's vehicle rolled over multiple times. He was flown to University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia with serious injuries, troopers said.

Hospital spokesman Eric Maze said Webb was still in serious conidion Monday morning.

A patrol arrest report said Webb was arrested in Boone County on suspicion of driving while intoxicated. The report said he was released from custody for medical care.

The crash report said Webb was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. It added Versailles police and Morgan County sheriff's deputies also responded to the wreck.
