Tracking a few possible strong storms tonight
TONIGHT: Scattered thunderstorms possible through about midnight. Some of these could be strong to severe with damaging winds and large hail. Lows in the upper 60s.
SUNDAY: Mostly sunny and beautiful with lower humidity. Highs in the mid-upper 80s.
EXTENDED: The cold front responsible for severe weather around the Midwest on Saturday will be well to our south on Sunday, allowing our winds to shift to the north during the day. This will keep temperatures right around normal for this time of the month with lower humidity, keeping us comfortable. Next week, a ridge of high pressure builds over the region, keeping rain chances at a minimum and temperatures to get into the low-mid-90s each day. With humidity, the heat index will likely get into the 98-102 degree range toward the end of the week.
