Man drowns in Missouri River after being caught in current

ST. CHARLES, Mo. (KMIZ)

A man died after he drowned in the Missouri River in St. Charles County Friday.

According to Missouri State Highway Patrol boating and drowning reports, Gregory Muller, 62, was swimming in the Missouri River at mile marker 54. That's when Muller got caught in an eddy and drowned, reports say.

Muller was pronounced dead shortly before 4 p.m.
