The district plans to hold several in-person graduation ceremonies from July 30th-August 2nd.
Dates of in-person graduation ceremonies:
- Rock Bridge High School, Thursday, July 30 (with Friday, July 31 for additional ceremonies if necessary based on student participation)
- Douglass High School, Friday, July 31
- Hickman High School, Saturday, August 1
- Battle High School, Sunday, August 2
Times and Locations:
- Ceremonies will be held at 9 a.m., 12 p.m., 3 p.m., and 6 p.m.
- Douglass High School’s ceremony will take place at 10 a.m.
- Ceremonies are expected to last approximately 1 hour.
- Ceremonies are planned to take place in the gym or the performing arts center. Your school will communicate with you the exact location.
- Douglass High School’s ceremony will take place at Hickman High School.
- The time between ceremonies will allow for graduates to take photos with their families outside of the school and for the venue to be cleaned before the next ceremony is held.
- Time assignments will be done alphabetically by graduate last name. However, you will be able to indicate if you have additional familial considerations such as a sibling with a different last name that would need to be assigned the same time.
- Your exact graduation time will be determined after you complete a participation questionnaire.
Graduates and Guests:
- Graduates will be given tickets for guests to attend. Graduates will receive two tickets for guests to attend inside the ceremony venue and two tickets for guests to watch a live feed of the ceremony in a separate overflow area at the school.
- The ceremonies will be viewable on CPS-TV and will be recorded for viewing at a later date.
The district says diplomas will be handed out at graduation. If a student is unable to attend, the school will work with the student to get them the certificate.
