Sunshine returns to mid-Missouri this weekend

THIS AFTERNOON: There's indications some spots of sunshine are possible, especially in southwest mid-Missouri this afternoon/evening. Temperatures will remain in the mid 60s.

TONIGHT: Partly to mostly cloudy skies. Temperatures fall into the upper 50s and begin rising through the 60s through the early morning hours.

EXTENDED: A warm front will lift across mid-Missouri Friday leading to much warmer weather, a chance for sunshine and a thunderstorm risk into the afternoon. Some storms could contain gusty winds and small hail. Memorial day weekend features a few chances at thunderstorms, but nothing looks widespread or long-lasting. Be prepared and have a plan in place to get to safety if thunderstorms interrupt your outdoor plans. Expect warm and muggy conditions as well.
