Tracking a cloudy, cool start to the week

quiet week

MONDAY: Cloudy and cool day with highs stuck in the low 60's today. This same system we've been tracking this weekend isn't quite done as some light sprinkles will be possible. Best chances to use that umbrella will be east of HWY 63, but everyone has the chance. Those breezy conditions that moved in yesterday will stick around today, with gusts up to 25 mph.

TONIGHT: Most of the night looks dry but that system won't move far enough east to lose influence over the viewing area. Under mostly cloudy skies, lows fall into the low to mid 50's.

EXTENDED: We can't completely rule out some sprinkles throughout the next few days, but most of us will be dry. This weekend's system looks to get cut off from the upper-level flow and will have nothing else to do besides spin by itself just to our east. While a sprinkle may rotate around, the biggest effect it will have will be cloud cover for the first part of the week. That will keep highs in the 60's Tuesday, breaking into the 70's Wednesday and Thursday. While peeks of sunshine will come and go, meaningful sun looks to be holding off until Thursday. We may have to put the brakes on the previously advertised warm up, but could see the 80's by this weekend. Showers and storms may accompany those warmer temperatures late in the week.
