Rain returns Monday, Severe storms possible Tuesday

TONIGHT: Clouds increase overnight. Temperatures fall into the 50s. Rain will arrive close to sunrise.

MONDAY: A weak upper level trough will swing through round of rain showers Monday morning. This rain will be in and out fairly quick for most, but our southern counties will likely see this rain last into the evening. Especially along and south of HWY 50. Highs make it back into the upper 60s, some spots into the low 70s.

EXTENDED: Another strong storm system looks to sweep across the upper midwest dragging a cold front through mid-Missouri. If clouds are able to clear the area into Tuesday, we'll likely see a shot at some strong to severe thunderstorms by Tuesday afternoon. Strong wind gusts and hail seem to be the main threat. Temperatures get into the 70s. Quieter weather looks to arrive Wednesday and beyond.
