Another cool day in store for mid-Missouri

TODAY: Things will remain calm and cooler than average with temperatures only warming into the upper 40s. Clouds will build in throughout the day.

TONIGHT: A disturbance will slide through this evening, but spotty sprinkles look to hold off until around midnight. With low temperatures hovering right near freezing, we could see a few flurries as this system pushes through.

EXTENDED: Temperatures will remain below average all week with highs only stretching into the 50s until the weekend. A better chance at picking up some measurable rain will move in Wednesday night and sticks with us through the end of the workweek. During the overnight hours it will be possible to mix in a snowflake or two, but nothing troublesome. The bulk of this system is tracking to fall north of the viewing area. This weekend is still a little tricky with some small chances for rain, but as for now, things are looking to remain dry for the larger majority of the two days. Temperatures will finally begin warming back into the 60s for our weekend.
