Man pleads guilty in bail bond agent shooting case
A Boone County judge sentenced a Jefferson City man to jail after he pleaded guilty to first-degree assault and armed criminal action on Monday.
Deangelo Bulter pleaded guilty to shooting a bail bonds agent in 2017 in Columbia. Authorities said he allegedly shot the woman as she was giving out wanted posters with Butler's name and picture on them. The woman survived the shooting.
Butler was sentenced to 11 years for first-degree assault and 15 years for armed criminal action, according to Boone County Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Susan Boresi. He will serve those sentences at the same time.
