Woman seriously hurt in Maries County crash

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A 20-year-old Vienna woman was seriously hurt in a crash in Maries County just after 1:30 a.m. Tuesday.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, the woman was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Impala on County Road 302, a half mile east of Highway 63, with a 16-year-old Vienna girl as a passenger when the car went off the left side of the road and overturned.

The 20-year-old had serious injuries, while the 16-year-old had minor injuries. Both were taken to Phelps Health by ambulance.

The 20-year-old was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, but the 16-year-old was wearing one, according to the report.

The car was totaled.
