St. Louis man drowns at Lake of the Ozarks after suffering head injury

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A St. Louis man drowned Wednesday morning at the Lake of the Ozarks after he suffered a head injury, according to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The report says the man jumped from a deck into shallow water and injured his head at the 4.8 mile marker of the Gravois Arm in Morgan County.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:50 a.m. His body was brought to Kidwell Garber Funeral Home.

MSHP reports do not list the names of those involved or affected.
