Pilot Grove woman seriously hurt in Cooper County crash

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A 19-year-old Pilot Grove woman suffered serious injuries in a Cooper County crash Thursday.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the woman was driving a 2011 Toyota Camry southbound on Route JJ, south of Lee Road at 11:50 a.m., when she drove through water in the road. The woman began to hydroplane, went off the road and overturned.

The woman was taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center by Pettis County EMS with serious injuries.

She was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, according to online crash reports.
