Tracking a dry start to the weekend, heavy rain on Father’s Day

TONIGHT: Increasing clouds, with spotty showers possible along and north of I-70. Lows in the lower 60s.

TOMORROW: Isolated showers before midmorning, then mostly sunny and hot, with highs in the mid-80s.

EXTENDED: Get outside on Saturday, as widespread showers and storms return early Father's Day morning, with another round of storms developing in the afternoon and evening. Flash flooding is possible on Sunday, with 1 to 3 inches of rain expected by the end of the weekend. Dry skies and below-average temperatures are expected next week behind the cold front, with highs in the upper 70s and low 80s through the workweek.
