Tracking more comfortable air the next few days

TONIGHT: Partly cloudy to mostly clear and muggy with lows in the lower 60s.

TOMORROW: Mostly sunny and less humid with highs around 80.

EXTENDED: As high pressure spins to our east/northeast, we'll see a nice shift in winds that will bring drier air to the region through late week, dropping dew points into the low to mid-50s. We'll be seasonably warm with highs in the lower 80s, but begin to warm up by late week as high pressure migrates to the east. We'll find ourselves in the storm path as the jet stream moves in our direction toward late week, with repeated chances of rain and storms between Friday and Sunday, totaling to about 1" of additional rainfall. We could see locally higher amounts in stronger storms, but the overall severe threat through the time frame looks lower as wind shear will be weak. Next week is trending warmer than average, with highs potentially reaching the upper 80s to start the week.
