Tracking a cool night with stubborn clouds holding on

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy and cool with lows in the lower 50s.

TOMORROW: Clouds slowly decrease, but its cool with highs in the mid-60s.

EXTENDED: Rain has finally come to an end across most of Mid-Missouri, but clouds look to hold on into Wednesday, keeping temperatures from falling even lower behind the cold front. Wednesday will be slow to clear, but with high pressure to our northeast across the Great Lakes, temperatures will be cooler than average and we'll be dry through Thursday. Thursday night into Friday will bring our next chance at rain as a disturbance moves in from the west/southwest. The severe risk looks low as there will not be very much wind shear to support more robust thunderstorms at any point over the weekend. We'll begin to warm up as upper winds shift over the weekend, with highs getting back into the 80s. With this shift, we'll be in the path of just about daily disturbances to bring a few storms through Monday, but a washout is not expected on any one day.
