Tracking a chance for a few storms Tuesday followed by late week warm up

TONIGHT: Mostly clear and mild with lows in the lower 50s.

TOMORROW: Mostly sunny and warm with gusty winds. Highs in the upper 70s to low 80s with wind gusts as high as 30 mph.

EXTENDED: I'm tracking a mild night as we drop into the 50s, with a warm Tuesday ahead. Highs get into the upper 70s to low 80s on Tuesday ahead of a cold front that will bring a chance for a few showers and storms by early evening. The ingredients don't look promising for widespread severe storms, but if we can get the cap to break, a couple storms could produce small hail and isolated wind gusts between 40-50 mph. After that, upper high pressure begins to build and bring the heat as we gradually warm into the upper 70s by late week. We'll get into the upper 80s from Friday on into the weekend, but we'll have low rain chances each day as disturbances ride right along the edge of high pressure. We'll be close to records between Friday and Sunday.
