COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A planned 10-month closure of I-70 Drive Southeast began on Monday, according to a press release from the Missouri Department of Transportation.

The closure was originally scheduled for last week, but was moved because of weather.

The road will be closed from just west of Woodridge Drive to Glenstone Drive for about 300 days, the release says.  The entrance of Woodridge Drive from I-70 Drive Southeast will also be closed.

Two bridges will be constructed and will allow the Hanover Boulevard underpass to connect to I-70 Drive Southeast, the release says. The road is expected to reopen by January 2027.
