COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A tofu truck has been sitting in Doolittle, Missouri, for the past three weeks after a crash.

The Doolittle Fire Protection District wrote on its social media on Sunday that the truck crashed on March 1 near mile-marker 172 on Interstate 44.

DRFPD wrote that the Missouri Department of Transportation is working with the insurance company of the trucking company. Other state agencies are allegedly involved.

“This is a very costly cleanup, and from what we have gathered, it has been a logistical nightmare. We have been given the runaround while attempting to recoup the costs that our department endured during the response and initial cleanup,” the post says. “Also, in case you were wandering, tofu tends to stink pretty bad after sitting out for three weeks!”
