No. 7 Mizzou gymnastics captures senior day win over No. 8 Arkansas

No. 7 Mizzou gymnastics sent off its senior class with big senior day win over No. 8 Arkansas, 197.425-197.225, but also emphasized that the season is still far from over.

In the win over the rival Razorbacks, the Tigers claimed a share of all four event titles for the third time in the 2026 season.

Junior Hannah Horton earned shares of the vault, bars and floor titles, on Sunday, scoring a 9.875, 9.925 and 9.925, respectively. Freshman Kimarra Echols shared the crown with Horton on the vault and freshman Maiya Terry shared that top step on the bars with a career-best 9.925.

On the floor, sophomore Kaia Tanskanen claimed the event title with a career-best tying 9.925.

Finally, sophomore Railey Jackson is Mizzou's final event champion, capturing the title on teh balance beam, as she matched her career-high with a score of 9.950.

Head coach Shannon Welker and company actually trailed Arkansas, coming out of the first rotation, as the group scored just a 49.125 on the vault. However, the uneven bars helped push Mizzou ahead.

The Tigers took over in that rotation and never let go of the lead. Mizzou's mark of 49.475 matched the team's season-high score on the bars. Welker and company followed that second rotation up with scores of 49.350 and 49.475 on on beam and floor, respectively.

Up next - No. 7 Mizzou will travel to Athens, Ga. to take on the Bulldogs at Stegeman Coliseum. First touch is set for 6 p.m. CT.
