State employees briefed on sick leave procedure amid coronavirus concerns
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)
Missouri state employees on Thursday received a memo from the Office of Administration reminding them of sick leave procedures as concerns grow over the international coronavirus pandemic.
"At this time, there are no employees that are in quarantine," office spokesman Chris Moreland said. "Currently, work productivity continues as normal."
A list of frequently asked questions was also distributed to state employees.
Earlier Thursday, Missouri Senate leaders said they would not be in session next week. The following week is spring break and the Senate will go back in session after that.
Missouri Gov. Mike Parson was also expected to talk Thursday evening in Springfield about a second positive novel coronavirus case.
