Tracking a spring like start to the week before cooling down again

TONIGHT: Mostly clear and chilly with lows in the upper 20s.

TOMORROW: Mostly sunny and pleasant with highs in the lower 50s.

EXTENDED: Southwest winds ramp up on Tuesday, helping to push temperatures to the upper 50s as clouds begin to increase. Elevated fire risk conditions develop across the southern portions of Mid-Missouri with low relative humidity and gusty winds along with those warm temperatures. A few showers are possible around and just after sunset as a weak front slides south, ending our warm up with temperatures falling to the low 40s for highs on Wednesday. We'll be cooler for the rest of the week with a bitter Thursday morning as lows could drop into the upper teens. Another front slides by with a few flurries possible between Thursday night and Friday, but measurable precipitation will be at a minimum for the upcoming week. Next weekend is looking like our next push of cooler than average air with highs in the low 30s and lows falling into the teens to low 20s.
