Tracking clouds tomorrow, more sunshine this weekend

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy and cold, with lows dropping into the upper 20s and low 30s. Fog develops near I-70 and lingers throughout the night.

TOMORROW: Patchy fog in the morning, with low clouds lingering all day. Temperatures struggle to reach the upper 30s in the afternoon. Winds from the northeast will be between 5 and 15 mph.

EXTENDED: A low pressure system will move south of the area on Friday, bringing rain to the other side of I-44 in the afternoon. We might see a few frozen pellets and flurries late Friday night as the system exits to the east, but no issues are expected. Sunshine returns on Saturday, with seasonal temperatures around 40 degrees. High pressure will warm us into the mid-40s on Sunday, and temperatures jump to the low 60s on Monday. The upper-level pattern remains active next week, but we'll likely stay dry and warmer than normal in the 50s through the middle of the week.
