Ahmad Hardy and Keagen Trost named Walter Camp All-Americans

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Two Mizzou football stars earned national honors.

Running back Ahmad Hardy and Offensive Lineman Keagen Trost were named Walter Camp All-Americans on Friday.

Hardy was named to the Walter Camp first team, on top of being one of three finalists for the Doak Walker award, which recognizes the top running back in the country. He finished the season leading the nation in yards per game (130) and ranked second in rushing yards with 1,560, which was 281 more than any other player in the SEC. The sophomore had eight 100-yard rushing performances, including a 300-yard performance against Mississippi State, just the sixth time a Tiger has done so.

Trost was the top-graded lineman in the all of college football according to Pro Football Focus and was named to the Walter Camp second team.. He allowed just two sacks all year an helped pave the way for the eighth best running attack in the NCAA on a yards per game basis.

Both players were named to the SEC first-team by both the Associated Press and league coaches, with Hardy being named SEC Newcomer of the Year.
