Tracking the return of rain Monday, cool for Thanksgiving

TONIGHT: Cloudy and chilly with lows in the mid-40s. Showers move in after midnight.

TOMORROW: Cloudy with showers through much of the day. Highs in the low to mid-50s.

EXTENDED: Scattered showers continue into Monday night, becoming more scattered through Tuesday as low pressure exits the region to the east. A dry front moves through between Tuesday night and Wednesday, dropping temperatures ahead of the holiday. Wednesday and Thursday are looking dry for holiday travel, but chilly with highs only making the low 40s. We'll end the week on a dry and chilly note on Friday, but a stronger low pressure system works off the Plains for next weekend, bringing a chance at rain and snow in the Midwest. With about a week's time to see how the storm evolves, we're confident in precipitation being mostly rain, but areas just north of Mid-Missouri may see snow or a mix between Saturday and Sunday.
