Eli Drinkwitz flips pair of three-star prospects in Class of 2026

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Even in the wake of his team's first loss of the season, Mizzou football coach Eli Drinkwitz keeps stacking wins on the recruiting trail, as he's secured four commitments in just the last three days.
On Monday, Coach Eli flipped a pair of three-star prospects to total 18 commitments in his 2026 recruiting class.
The first came in three-star safety Carter Stewart, who was originally pledged to Utah. The 6-foot-1, 170-pound talent is rated as the No. 179 player at his position in the country and No. 272 overall player in the state of Texas, according to 247Sports.
Drinkwitz's second flip of the day came in three-star cornerback Brody Jones. The 6-foot-3, 185-pound prospect was originally committed to Cincinnati, but decided to sport the black and gold, instead.
Jones hails from Fayetteville, Arkansas, where he is rated as the No. 11 overall player in the state and No. 73 at his position. The corner is the No. 842 overall player nationally.
He also had offers from Houston, Tulane, Wisconsin, Georgia Tech and quite a few others.
