RECAP: Mizzou completes perfect non-conference season, returns to SEC action
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Mizzou Football has finished off a dominant run through non-conference play.
The Tigers (5-0) clinched an undefeated record against non-conference challengers with a 36-point win over Massachusetts, outscoring their non-league opponents by a combined 144 points (197-53) over four games. This represents the third straight season that the team won all four of its non-conference games.
After MU's first bye week of the year, the competition ramps up for the remainder of the 2025 campaign. Currently, The Tigers are scheduled to face a top-20 opponent in four of their seven remaining games, including three challengers that are No. 10-ranked or higher. However, Mizzou is welcoming the challenge.
"We're ready for SEC play. We're finally done with the non-conference games. We're tired of those. We ain't tired, but hey, we're ready to play them real games," Mizzou wide receiver Kevin Coleman Jr. said.
"We got to just keep doing everything we're doing every week with our process and stay the same. Don't change nothing up, don't get complacent and be able to be the best we can each and every week," Mizzou linebacker Khalil Jacobs said.
