Mizzou, South Carolina release injury reports ahead of SEC showdown

KMIZ

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

South Carolina's starting quarterback is uncertain to play in Mizzou's SEC opener.

The Gamecocks have officially listed LaNorris Sellers as questionable for Saturday's game against the Tigers at Memorial Stadium, per the team's initial injury report.

Sellers, who was a preseason All-SEC selection, was forced to leave South Carolina's showdown with Vanderbilt over the weekend, due to a concussion that he sustained from a helmet-to-helmet hit. According to ESPN's Pete Thamel, there's reportedly "optimism" surrounding his status for Saturday's contest since Sellers has been participating in practice.

MU's injury report includes zero new additions. Sam Horn (fractured tibia) and Blake Craig (torn ACL) suffered season-ending injuries in the team's season opener against Central Arkansas while Logan Reichert is still nursing a lower body injury, which will keep him sidelined for multiple weeks.
