Tracking heat and humidity from the weekend into next week

TONIGHT: Mostly clear and mild with lows in the upper 60s.

TOMORROW: Mostly sunny and hot with highs in the mid-90s.

EXTENDED: Highs on Friday reach the mid-90s, and while it will feel humid we likely won't see much warmer heat indices due to dew points hovering in the lower 60s. Saturday will be the hottest day with highs in the upper 90s and sunshine, but we could see a few more clouds on Sunday ahead of low pressure to our west. We could also see a few storms in the afternoons between Sunday and next Tuesday as instability grows in the heat of the day, but coverage will be sparse and storms would diminish with sunset. The pattern holds until late next week when the upper ridge breaks down and we could see a cool down back to the 80s by Thursday or Friday.
