Tracking a big warm up through the weekend

TONIGHT: Partly cloudy and mild with lows in the lower 60s.

TOMORROW: Mostly sunny with highs in the upper 80s.

EXTENDED: Clouds hold through the evening as a weak small scale system works its way across the state. Light showers have been observed on ABC 17 Stormtrack Doppler Radar, but with dry air in the lower levels of the atmosphere we'll just hold onto clouds through tomorrow morning with lows remaining in the lower 60s. Tomorrow, sunshine returns with a south breeze, sending temperatures into the upper 80s. Upper high pressure builds and is strongest over the weekend with highs reaching the low to mid-90s. Dew points reach the 60s, so the heat index will stay under the century mark, but it will feel noticeably different compared to last weekend's fall like chill. A weak front may influence our weather next week, bringing a slight cool down back to the upper 80s with a chance of a few pop-up storms possible between Saturday and Monday.
